BARN Contributes NPR 1.4 Million to Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund

Kathmandu, 28 Septmeber, 2026 — The Board of Airline Representatives Nepal (BARN) has contributed NPR 1.4 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in support of ongoing relief and recovery efforts following the devastating floods of August 26, 2026.
The contribution was formally handed over at a program held at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Singha Durbar, where BARN presented the cheque to the Hon. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Khadak Raj Paudel (Ganes).
The contribution reflects the solidarity and commitment of Nepal’s international airline community toward communities affected by the disaster. On the occasion, BARN representatives expressed their support for the ongoing relief and recovery efforts and reaffirmed their confidence in Nepal’s resilience and its ability to recover and rebuild following the catastrophe.
BARN, established in 1990, serves as the unified platform representing international airlines operating in Nepal. The organization works closely with government authorities, regulatory bodies, tourism stakeholders and other industry partners to address common challenges and promote safe, efficient and sustainable air transportation.
Over the years, BARN has played an important role in supporting Nepal’s aviation and tourism sectors and contributing to the country’s broader economic development. The organization remains committed to working collectively with its members and stakeholders in support of Nepal and its people, particularly during times of national adversity.
