BARN Successfully Convenes 30th & 31st Annual General Meeting

The Board of Airline Representatives in Nepal (BARN) successfully convened its 30th & 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 5 June 2026 at Best Western Plus Godawari, Lalitpur, under the theme “Resilient Skies, Shared Vision.”

The AGM brought together representatives of international airlines operating in Nepal to review BARN’s institutional activities, assess key developments and priorities within Nepal’s aviation sector, endorse the organization’s reports, and constitute the Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 tenure.

The newly constituted Executive Committee reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening coordination and collaboration among BARN member airlines, representing the collective interests of the international airline community, and contributing towards the sustainable growth and development of Nepal’s aviation sector.

Industry Presentation on NDC and Airline Retailing

The AGM also featured a presentation by Verteil Technologies on New Distribution Capability (NDC) and the evolving landscape of airline retailing. The session provided valuable insights into emerging global trends in airline distribution, digital transformation and the changing dynamics of airline–travel trade connectivity.

The presentation highlighted the growing importance of modern distribution technologies in enhancing airline retailing, improving access to content and creating greater opportunities for innovation across the aviation ecosystem.
